Questions

if you had one wish
what would you wish for?
if you had one opportunity
would you score?
if you had one dream
would you soar?
if you only had one more day
what would you say?
if you had a lot of money
would you be the same person or go running?
if you had unlimited time
would you help others or live with crime?
if you could ask one last question
would it help you learn a lesson?
there is no such thing as a stupid question
so let it fly and just maybe it will find a reply.

The End

one earth
with 7 billion souls
7 billion people
with 7 billion goals
7 billion goals
with one destination
one destination
with 7 billion meanings
in the ground
then through the sky
soaring like an eagle
oh so high
while everything flashes before your eyes
you find what you were looking for
life’s greatest surprise…

Could it Be…?

Pure silence
The sign of nothing?
Or the sign of something?
Creepy mischievous eyes lurking around
Like cunning lies
Or peace and quiet drowning the air as if no one were there
With heavy breathing
And your eyes pleading
There is a scrunching noise
What could it be?
Somebody coming for me
Or nature just doing its thing
Whatever it might be
I don’t think it likes me
With my body at its physical peak
I turn and run like I’m shrimpy and weak
It could only be one thing
The greatest trickster the world has to bring Will it ever leave
Will it ever believe
Or is it just…me.

Our imagination can be our greatest uprise or our greatest demise
so don’t fool yourself
and forever be wise.

Freestyle

words turn into writing
and writing turns into layers
many different meanings
they sound like prayers
with so many thoughts going through my head
my brain wants to leave nothing unsaid
phrase after phrase jumping through my ear
so many thoughts these words are sincere
but with the world around me so distracting
it’s so hard to keep this up without practicing
if practice makes perfect
then why is nobody there
perfect is the destination everyone fears
they say it’s impossible
but my mind is theosophical
what does that mean
you wish you knew
just keep thinking there’s nothing you can do

This Moldy Generation

as a kid you want to be old
and as you’re old
you don’t want to be mold
everyday rotting away
were all getting older
what can you say
there’s only so much life to live
so why receive when you can give
give inspiration and insight
give the young a reason to fight
we live in a world of YOLO and swag
nobody is humble because they all brag
so reach in your bag
and pull out some gold
give them advice
and get rid of your mold

Away

long day comes to a rest
kick off my shoes
and fall on the bed
throw in my headphones
and just forget
have my dreams take me away
and let the sheets show me the way
with my pillow as the cloud
and my bed like the crowd
as it lifts me up like a wave
taking me further and further away..

The Bell

waiting for time to pass by
my mind begins to wander like an annoying fly
with my eyes darting from one to another
I start to feel like a lighthouse undercover
everyone lost within their minds
moving about like many mimes
so quiet you can hear books breathing even so quiet I can hear the mimes thinking
but with five minutes to the bell
the peace and quiet will turn to hell leaving me thinking….did I fail?

Life’s Only Answer

add the positive subtract the negative
go through the steps
and find what it equals
skip a step
and everything is wrong
but don’t leap forward
and it’s all gone
draw the line
and divide the numbers
add an x and multiply the songbirds
life’s only right answer is happiness
so go through the steps
and live every moment
circle the answer
and show them you own it

Work Hard

one..two…three..four…four..four
c’mon just one more
five…six…seven…eight..eight..eight
c’mon I’m doing great
nine…ten..
c’mon do it again
putting my body to the test
nothing is going to put me to rest
unless its this beating thing in my chest
one..two..three..four..five
c’mon your still alive
six…seven…eight..nine…ten
were all here to contend
put your body to the test
and it will bring your mind to rest
get away from the world
jump into your heart
find your part and work hard

What Are We? (public school)

we all grow up differently
go through the motions
and learn how to read
go to kindergarten and learn our abc’s
then comes first grade
and they start teaching us all the same
for 12 straight years teaching us the same thing
teaching us things we don’t even need
just 12 years of repetition
put us in a desk and expect us to listen
taking tests that predict your future
and writing papers on your computer
creative minds get shot down
because A isn’t the right answer
sorry this is wrong now you can’t go to Stanford
they teach us to treat everyone the same
and not to judge
when the teacher says, “I can’t even read this smudge!”
they grade our work with their work like they’re a god
when I can probably write better than you ever could
30 different papers
but one answer key
what are we? all the same?
